What does having a 13 or 14 SEER Air Conditioner or Heat Pump mean?
Your air conditioner or heat pump’s efficiency is measured by a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating (SEER). The higher the SEER rating the more efficiently your unit operates. Increased efficiency translates into savings in utility costs. Outdoor sections rated at 14 SEER or higher are Energy Star rated for exceeding the standard energy efficiency requirements.
