Air filtration is the most commonly used mold mitigation technique. Mold spores and fungal debris range in size down to approximately 2 microns. A 95% efficient filter (ASHRAE dust spot test) is effective on 95% of 1 micron particles and, therefore is sufficient to remove airborne mold spores. Air filtration is very effective on the spores that are delivered to the filter. Air filtration products & Whole House Systems
The C-band of the ultra-violet spectrum(UVC), produced by these lights, can kill mold spores and other bio-aerosols. UVC lamps are normally placed in the forced air system near the filter or the cooling coils. UV Lights Ozone generators Ozone is a highly reactive gas. The theory is that the ozone gas will react with harmful airbourne gases and convert them to harmless substances. According to the EPA, however, the ozone levels necessary to kill airborne is 5-10 times the approved levels for human exposure. Ozone should only be used as a restoration tool in remediating an indoor air quality problem by a professional certified company. Dehumidifiers remove humidity from the air. Since moisture is one of the critical requirements for mold growth, and can be controlled, it is a logical strategy. In order to be effective the humidity levels in the structure must be aggressively lowered and maintained. We design and provide affordable whole house systems. Air duct cleaning reduces airborne dust and particles, unclogs restricted air ducts and registers and removes impacted material from blower fans and air conditioning coils. Mold, mildew and bacteria are significantly reduced. Air Duct cleaning Services |
