I had become seriously ill shortly after water damage occurred in my home. I have asthma and for 3 months I lived to see if I'd get my next breath. For the next 2-1/2 years I could not work and would have to quit my jobs I tried because of trouble breathing and bad asthma episodes.
When we went to fix the bathroom floor of the master bedroom, we found mold and I knew why I was ill. I briefly checked out 3 companies and called Air Care & Restoration and got something you don't really expect. They were genuinely helpful and concerned and told me honestly and immediately what to do. They came to my home within the week and gave me an estimate, (which was thankfully a lot lower than I anticipated). Mold is usually a very costly problem.
Keith Roe, the President of Air Care was professional and genuinely concerned for my health. I believe someone had mentioned that Keith had allergies and understood when people became ill from mold. Up to that point none of my doctor's had given me any credibility about mold causing my recent illness.
Air Care came in within a week's time and tore up the moldy flooring and treated the mold. Within 3-4 weeks my asthma reading on a machine had improved and was higher than it had been in 7 years. This was literally a miracle to me!
It may have been possible that my asthma had been caused by toxic mold! There was severe water damage in a bathroom where I lived when I developed asthma at age 30.
The employees Air Care and Restoration sent to my home were extremely nice and so considerate. Any service they offer that I can use in the future, I will! They gave me the positive boost I needed at a difficult time in my life. I hope to return to work shortly.

About my Austin Air HM400 Air Cleaner:
I have chosen to run this machine next to my bed. I have found that living in an older home has caused a severe increase in my allergy symptoms... Especially in the mornings.
Since using the Austin I am not waking up sneezing in the night or in the morning. I would love to have an Austin in every room of my house!
